Makeup Look - An inspiration Recreated

Hello dolls,

New look up for you today! 

I've been loving this color combination a lot lately. Colorful but stil kind of subtile. 

I saw Marlena (Makeupgeektv) wearing something similar to this on Snapchat a while back and I fell in love! So I decided that I had to try and recreate it. I tried a few different colors and ways to make it suite me and my eyes the best. Hope you like it as well!

First impression and mini review

Hello lovies,

Today I finally got the chance to try out the very-talked-about EX1 Cosmetics Foundation. I've heard so much about it and wanted to try for myself. 

I thought I'd do a kind of first impression while trying it for the first time to let you know what I think about it. 

Start

The container is a simple yet cute, made of plastic with copper details. I used a pump and a half for the whole face. 

I decided to use a primer on half of my face to see if it makes a difference. I used the Elizabeth Arden Flawless Start Instant Perfecting Primer. To see how the  EX1 foundation applies I used a Beauty Blender on the half of my face where I used the primer and I used a Real Techniques Expert Face Brush on the other half. Oh and I'm using the foundations in the shade F200.

I found that the foundation applied really smoothly with both tools. I felt like the side where I used the brush got a little bit more coverage with one layer, which surprised me. (It was extremely hot today so I didn't feel like putting on another layer) 

The second thing I noticed was that on the half without primer the EX1 foundation looked more dewy then on the primed side (the primer I used was not a mattifying one).

I didn't feel like the foundation on either side made my pores appear larger or texture showing, which was really nice.

After five hours

After applying my makeup I rushed to work (riding my bike in the nice summer weather)

I worked for about four hours and went home again. 

I looked at my foundation again to see if I could notice any change. I saw nothing! The foundation was still looking as good as it first did after applying it and still felt hydrating. I was impressed that the EX1 foundation could still look so good after a few hours and in the heat. 

After eight ours

I looked at the makeup again after about 8-8,5 hours and it still looked really good. I could see a little change on the tip of my nose and on my chin. But honestly I think that was just from me rubbing it off. Still super impressed of EX1. 

My final thoughts

This foundation looks absolutely beautiful on the skin and is very long wearing. It blended in to the skin very nice and did not feel heavy at all.

I love that the tones of the foundations go more yellow/olive then most foundations out there. 

The price of this beauty is only SEK 145 which is insane for the quality and I got it at lookfantastic.com

I can highly recommend EX1 foundation for those of you that have the same skin type like me - normal to dry. I don't know how it will look on combination oily skin but I've heard people with that skin type raving about EX1 as well. 

If you're looking for a new foundation this is a really good one. 

Makeup Look - Glamour Girl

Hello lovies,

Today's look is all about the glow. Glowy eyes glow skin and some really glowy cheekbones. If you're not a person that likes all that glow, feel free to tone it down. 

It's a rather easy look that I've done today and I'm sure anyone can recreate it. Don't feel like you have to use the exact products that I've used. See what similar colors you have at home and use that.

I've used three ColourPop shadows on the lids, but my camera isn't really picking it up :/

Makeup Look - Fashionista

Hello dolls, 

For today's look I wanted to use bold colors but still keep it very wearable, so that more people would feel comfortable recreating it. I did a deep green winged liner and pared it with a bright magenta pink lip color. As I usually say, you can of course switch the colors to your preference. I waring my favorite Flutter Lashes for this look.

Wedding Season - New Clients - Portfolio

Hello dolls,

The weekend before the last I had the honor to do the makeup of another bride! Before her wedding day we did a trial makeup to see what she would be comfortable with. Santa - the bride - doesn't usually wear a lot of makeup so in the end we decided to do a soft look using brown and bronze tones, paring it with a pink lip. 

Here are some photos of the gorgeous bride, her pretty maid of honor and her beautiful mom. 

THE BRIDE

For the bride I used the Too Faced Chocolate Bar and Semi Sweet Chocolate Bar Palettes and also ColourPop shadows. For the cheeks I used Michael Kors Bronze Powder (Unfortunately my camera is washing out the colors a bit) and one of my favorite lipsticks by KICKS Pink Ribbon.

THE MAID OF HONOR

For the maid of honor I used the Morphe Brushed 35W palette. On the cheeks we have MAC blushes Fleur Power and Warm Soul. On the lips she chose KICKS Lipstick in Cashmere.

MOTHER OF THE BRIDE

The mother did not want a lot of make up at all because she wasn't used to it. So we did foundation, blush a colorful lip and just a soft wash of color on her eyes.

Makeup Look - Anastasia Beverly Hills - Modern Renaissance Eyeshadow Palette

For todays look I used the B E A U T I F U L Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Eyeshadow Palette. It's been out for a hot minute and is all over Instagram. I really understand the hype! 

It comes in a magnetic packaging, the outside is pink and has a velvety-like feel to it and it has a big mirror on the inside. The palette contains 14 beautiful warm eyeshadows, and also comes with a dual-ended brush. And the best part - this palette is permanent!

Makeup Look - Manny MUA x Makeup Geek Palette Look 1

Hello beauties,

Today I used the fabulous Manny MUA x Makeupgeek Cosmetics palette. Let me just say that it's amazing! The color combination is great, you can du everyday looks just as well as more dramatic looks. My favorite colors are Sora, Mars and Insomnia.

/Hej! Idag har jag använt den fantastiska MannyMUA x Makeupgeek Cosmetics paletten som jag fick hem för ett bra tag sedan. Kombinationen av färgerna i paletten är superb. Lika lätt att göra enkla vardagslooker som en riktigt dramatisk kvällslook. Mina favoritfärger är Sora, Mars och Insomnia.

For the first look up on the blog using this palette I did a very soft everyday look. Something that I think everyone could be comfortable with.
