Flower Beauty by Drew Berrymore

Som jag nämnt lite snabbt i ett tidigare inlägg så har skådisen Drew Berrymore skapat ett eget sminkmärke, Flower Beauty, som lanserades i januari i USA.

 

Märket bygger på en, enligt mig fin filosofi, att alla konsumenter (endast i USA då dessvärre) ska kunna uppskatta och njuta av produkter i lyxkvalité till ett billigt pris. Priset kan hållas lågt då märket inte gör dyra reklamer (ingen reklam alls), och det är Drew själv som är med på bild på displayerna. Det omfattande sortimentet har allt man kan tänka sig inom makeupväg.   

Företaget tar stolthet i att produkterna är producerade i USA och inte testade på djur.  

 

As I've mentioned briefly in an earlier post, actress Drew Berrymore has created her own makeup line, Flower Beauty, that was launched in the US in January this year.

 

The brand has a nice philosophy that all consumers (unfortunately only in the US) to be able to enjoy  luxury quality makeup to a low price and is only sold at Walmart. The price is kept low because the company doesn't spend money on advertising. Flower Beauty has an extensive range of everything that you can expect from a  makeup line.  

The company takes pride in that the products are made in the USA and crualty free.

Hard Candy Meteor-eyes Baked Eyeshadow in Supernova 274 all over the lid, I blended it out in the crease a bit (pic 3)

Just ad some mascara (I used Rimmel Sexy Curves Full Figure) and you're more or less done! =)

Playful Colors

Lip care - DIY

Hösten är på ingång och det första jag märker när vädret förändras är att mina läppar blir väldigt torra och behöver extra care. Jag är en sucker för läpprodukter och testar hela tiden nya saker för att hitta nåt som kan hjälpa till att hålla mina läppar återfuktade.

 

Jag använder en läppscrub varje kväll (försöker), en lip cleanser på morgonen och försöker återfukta läpparna så mkt som möjligt under dagen.

 

Autumn is coming and the first thing I notice when the weather changes is that my lips get very dry and needs extra care. I'm a sucker for lip products and always try new things to find something that can help to keep my lips moisturised.

I use lip scrub every night (try!), a lip cleanser in the morning and try to moisturize the lips all thro out the day.

Eye of the day - Silver blues Kim's Kardazzle

Yes jag är ett stort Kardashian-fan! Självklart passade jag på att köpa på mig lite ur deras sminkkollektion Khroma Beauty när jag var i USA. Dessvärre var det väldigt utplockat men är väldigt nöjd med det jag fick tag på vilket va; Kims multipalett, som jag använt i dagens look, en fantastiskt fin bronzer, ett kit med en dubbelsidig penna med lipliner och läppstift, ett läppglans samt lösögonfransar. 

Yes I'm a huge Kardashian fan! Of course I had to take the opportunity to get a few pieces of their makeup collection Khroma Beauty when I was in the US. Unfortunately there was not much left at the store, but I'm very pleased with what I got. Which was; Kim's multi palette, used in today's look, a fantastic bronzer, a dual sided pen with lipliner/lipstick and a lip gloss.

 

 

Paletten heter Kim's Kardazzle, består av fyra matta och fyra skimriga skuggor, paletten har även en rouge en highlighter och en bronzer. Ögonskuggorna är något pudriga och faller ner på kinden. Jag använde en primer under och tog lite produkt åt gången på penseln då funkade det bra.

 

The palette is called Kim's Kardazzle, it has four matte and four shimmery shades, the palette also includes a blush a highlighter and a bronzer. The eye shadows are quite powdery and falls down on the cheeks. I used a primer on the lid and used a little Product at the time on the brush which worked well.

 

 

 

 

Läpprodukterna kom i ett kit i färgen In the Flesh och är otroligt vacker, liplinern sitter på plats kan jag lova, mycket nöjd med dem, dock luktar de väldigt mycket honung - vilket jag inte är så förtjust i, men det funkar.

 

The lip products come in a kit and I got the color In the Flesh and it's incredibly beautiful, the liplinern doesn't move! I'm very pleased with them, but they do have a quite strong smell of honey - which I personally not a big fan of, but I can live with that.

 

 

 

 

Jag är helt förälskad i bronzern(!) som heter Endless Summer. Den har tre nyanser av brunt med ett lätt skimmer. Lika snygg att använda en färg åt gången som att blanda alla tre tillsammans.

 

I'm totally in love with this bronzer(!) it's called Endless Summer! It has three shades of brown with a slight shimmer. Looks good to use one color at the time, and also great to swirl a brush thro all three.

Nails

Efter att ha haft långa, väldigt färgglada stiletto-naglar hela sommaren bestämde jag mig för att göra det motsatta idag.

Filade ner naglarna och drog på ett väldigt ljust och naturligt nagellack från Deborah Lippmann. Färgen heter "Prelud to a kiss" älskar både färgen och namnet!

 

Having had long, very colorful stiletto nails all summer I decided to get the total opposite today.

I shortened my nails and put on a light and natural Nail polish from Deborah Lippmann. The color is called "Prelud to a kiss", love both the color and the name!

Eye of the day - Marc Jacobs palette

När jag var i Canada och USA i somras va jag ute efter att hitta smink som inte finns på den svenska marknaden (ännu i alla fall). Det blev bl.a. en ögonskuggspalett & nagelack från Marc Jacobs, Catwalk-paletten från Anastasia Beverly Hills som jag använde i förra inlägget, lite godsaker från Kardashian-systrarnas sminkmärke Khroma samt smink från Flower som är Drew Berrymores egna märke.

 

Marc Jacobs Beauty-produkterna hittade jag på Sephora i USA. Först trodde jag att det skulle vara någon slags specialutgåva som gjorts i samband med Sephora, men till min stora förvåning när jag såg hyllan, var det ett helt sortiment av makeup. Allt från foundations, puder, ögonskuggor till, mascaror, läppstift, gloss och nagellack. Riktigt kul och massa fina färger. Självklart var det ett måste att testa!

 

Fredagen till ära gjorde jag en kvällslook med "The Vamp"-paletten från Marc Jabcos beauty.

 

 

When I was in Canada and the States this summer I wanted to find and try out makeup brands that we don't have in Sweden (at least not yet). Among other things I bought an eyeshadow palette and nail polish from Marc Jacobs Beauty, Catwalk palette from Anastasia Beverly Hills which I used in the last post, some goodies from the Kardashian sister's makeup line Khroma (also clothes!) and a few things from Flower which is Drew Berrymore's own makeup brand.

 

I found the Marc Jacobs Beauty products at Sephore in the U.S. At first I thought it was just going to be a special edition line between the two, but I was positively surprised when I saw the rack, a full range makeup line. With everything from foundations, powders, eyeshadows to mascara's, lipstick, lipgloss and nail polish. Lots of fun colours and obviously I had to try it!

 

I thought I'd start the weekend with a evening look made with the "The Vamp" palette from Marc Jacobs Beauty.
